COMPANY NEWS
The heart of a laundry is its water treatment plant which is crucial to an optimum laundry operation. No clean water - no clean clothing!
The purpose of water treatment In laundries, water is used in several connections, each with the purpose of preventing hydrated layers, operating troubles, and corrosion. In addition, the purpose is to ensure a clean and dry steam and to minimize the consumption of chemicals. If the water is not treated properly, washing machine and boiler, among other things, will be worn-out faster.
Application of water in the washing process water is used in the actual washing process together with detergents typically consisting of tensides, complex binders, enzymes, bleaching agents, and fragrances. It is the tensides which together with water dissolves and removes dirt. In order for the water to be suitable as wash water, it is necessary to remove the hardness. The complex binders bind to a certain degree the calcium in the water, but the optimum solution is to soften the water in a softening plant. It is the hardness of the water which determines how many complex binders and thus detergents which should be dosed. In areas with hard water, tensides will thus be overdosed.
